Hyrdrangea Painting: the process

Thomas and I will be enjoying the 4th holiday all week with family- so I wanted to leave you with this blog post since I haven't been doing much blogging since May! Oops. Way better to experience life than blog about it... am I right?? #vacation #outdoorsforever #boocomputers #yesnature

I thought I would share my most recent commissioned painting with you- I love this painting and entitled it: "Just Like Grandma's" because my Grandmother who lived on a farm had these huge hydrangea bushes right in front of her porch that grew and looked 'just like this.' I hope you enjoy getting to see the process of the painting! its always interesting to me how they start & end.

In the above picture it was pretty much done. Sometimes painters can get so crazy about the smallest details when the general public would never know what your'e talking about so.. you just have to "finish" it and move on! :-)

Here is the painting in its new home ! (Isn't this bedroom awesome?!?!) I added a few finishing touches from the above picture and painted the edges so it could hang until it gets framed! Cant wait to see it after getting framed!
