I LOVE Farmer's Markets... how could you not? Here are some photos I took from the first Yorktown Farmers Market- I'm looking forward to taking many more and buying more of all the deliciousness that is there. Its a wonderful market with a great atmosphere (hello- the waterfront?!)
Anywho- I've had a LOT of FUN learning photography and have SO much more to learn! I have never taken a photo class, a private lesson etc. I remember the first day of my job for Yorktown thinking.. okay photography... yeh I know like 2 things about using a digital SLR camera.... I guess I will read the manual? That's right. I straight up read the manual on how to use the Canon 40D. I had 2 lenses to start with... (saddest day ever I broke one) and had to use the one I hardly use to take these photos. (70-300mm ... yeh tough stuff makes getting 'close up shots difficult unless I'm 5 feet away or more haha) Enjoy the shots I got!
Below are pictures of a Chef's demo that happens at every Yorktown farmer's market! This one was focused on 'healthy eating' so I was excited to capture it. The chef was from Water Street Grille restaurant and did an awesome job on these 'Thai Shrimp Lettuce wraps' that are on the menu! Also I have had them and they are delicious and more filling than I thought they'd be!
It's such a great Market that runs every Saturday 8 am-12 pm in Yorktown on the green (right by the waterfront) through September 27th! I will definitely be getting a lot of yummy things there this summer :)
